The Tri-State Hockey League would like to take this opportunity to thank your program for their continued support and for helping make the 2017-18 TSMHL season another successful year. At this point in time the league must begin the planning process for the 2018-19 season. We have received a renewed interest in the TSMHL for the 2018-19 season and expect several new programs for the upcoming season. Therefore, we will be holding a TSMHL Informational Meeting on Tuesday May 15th at 6:00pm at the Haverhill Valley Forum. Please click here if you wish to attend the May 15th meeting. We ask that each member program review the attached 2018-19 TSMHL Registration Package and submit the appropriate forms to the TSMHL Office by the registration deadline of May 15th, 2018. Attached is the 2018-2019 Tri-State Mite Hockey League Registration Packet, which includes the TSMHL Registration Form and the TSMHL Rink Preference Form.
The Tri-State Mite Hockey League will offer interested teams a full service, Full-Ice Mite League for the 2018-19 season. TSMHL league members will play 30 regular season games plus playoffs. The TSMHL will operate out of a network of over 50 rinks throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The TSMHL will provide a customized and user-friendly website (see tsmhl.com) that will offer comprehensive schedules, scores, standings, rosters and will also be integrated with the league’s proprietary back-end scheduling software to offer teams numerous reporting capabilities, game cancellation forms and other useful tools. The TSMHL will provide all players, coaches and officials insurance that will include: basic medical, catastrophic medical insurance underwritten by a major Insurance Provider with an A.M. Best FSR rating of A- or better.
Please note that the registration deadline for the 2018-19 TSMHL season will be May 15, 2018.
2018-2019 TSMHL Game Schedules:
TSMHL league members will play 30 parity/regular season games, which will include approximately 6 parity round games and 24 regular season games. The TSMHL will seed teams based upon divisional requests submitted in the TSMHL Registration Form, as well as historical performance. Preliminary seedings will be published in July and finalized the first week of August. Teams will a play 6-7 game parity round and teams’ seeding will be adjusted based upon their performance in those games. The TSMHL will also make additional parity adjustments, as deemed necessary by the league office, throughout the season. All teams qualify for TSMHL Playoffs, which are single elimination format.
2018-2019 Game Fees:
The Tri-State Mite Hockey League understands that every youth hockey program is under pressure to offer the most cost effective program to their membership. As a result, the TSMHL will make every effort to keep game fees flat for the 2017-18 season. Those game fees will be finalized by June 1, 2018. If a TSMHL Game Fee increase is deemed necessary due to unavoidable increased costs, the game fee increase will not be more than 2-3% for the 2018-19 season. The current game fees for the 2017-18 season are \$269/game.
Player & Coach Insurance:
The TSMHL will provide all teams, players, coaches and officials with the following insurance: \$50,000 basic medical, \$2,000,000 catastrophic medical which will be underwritten by a major Insurance Provider with a minimum A.M. Best FSR rating of A-. The cost of insurance will be billed to each individual team and will cost approximately \$420/team.
2018-2019 Rink Preference Form:
Please select your teams’ preferred rinks from the TSMHL Rink Preference Form. Included is a list of the 33 hub rinks that the TSMHL operates out of. Select (8) Preferred Rinks for your Program. Rank your rink selections 1 to 8 with the rank of 1 being the most preferable rink on the list
Complete the Entire 2018-2019 TSMHL Registration:
The Completed Forms and Team Registration Fee must be returned to the League Office by May 15, 2018 in order to guarantee a seeded position in the 2018-19 Tri-State Mite Hockey League.
